Why Resurrection Isn’t Just a Story

This past Sunday was Resurrection Sunday, a day when millions of people focused on Jesus. People went to church. People dressed up. People heard messages about hope, sacrifice, and new life.

But here is the real question: Do you know Jesus? Do you study what He actually taught?

Because the Bible does not just talk about love and blessings.
It also talks about something most people do not like to hear:

Stupidity.

What Is Stupidity?

Stupidity is not about being dumb.

Stupidity is knowing the right thing and not doing it.

You already know:

  • You should listen to your coach
  • You should practice harder
  • You should have a better attitude
  • You should do your schoolwork

But when you do not do it, that is stupidity.

The Bible Keeps It Real

The Bible uses words like foolish and brutish, which describe someone who refuses wisdom.

  • If you reject correction, that is foolish
  • If you keep making the same mistake, that is foolish
  • If you know better but do not do better, that is foolish

God is not trying to insult you.
He is trying to correct you so you can grow.

The Baseball Example

Millions of boys say they want to be Major Leaguers.

But their actions tell a different story.

  • Skipping reps
  • Avoiding hard work
  • Getting an attitude when corrected
  • Not taking care of their body
  • Not studying the game

Then they say they want to play Division I or get drafted.

But wanting something is not the same as working for it.

If your actions do not match your goals, that is not a talent problem.
That is a decision problem.

The Window Is Real

You do not have forever to become a Major Leaguer.

There is a window:

  • Age matters
  • Development matters
  • Timing matters

And once that window closes, it closes.

At that point, you are left asking whether you truly gave your best effort.

From Major Leaguer to Major League Citizen

Even if you do not reach the Major Leagues, there is still another standard.

Become a Major League citizen.

That means:

  • Being responsible
  • Being disciplined
  • Being dependable
  • Being prepared for life

The same lack of commitment that keeps players from reaching their goals in baseball can carry over into life.

If you do not learn discipline and accountability now, you will struggle later.

Resurrection Sunday Connection

Resurrection Sunday is about new life.

Jesus did not stay down. He got up.

That message is not just something to hear. It is something to live.

You can get up too.

  • You can change your habits
  • You can improve your attitude
  • You can stop making excuses

But only if you apply what you already know.

The Turning Point

Your life changes when you stop blaming others and take responsibility.

Instead of saying:

  • It is my coach
  • It is my parents
  • It is my situation

You say: It is me. I need to do better.

That is where growth begins.

What to do Starting Today

1. Listen when corrected
Do not take it personal. Use it to improve.

2. Work when nobody is watching
That is where real development happens.

3. Match your actions to your goals
If you say you want it, prove it daily.

4. Be consistent
Not occasionally. Every day.

Stupidity is not what you do not know. It is what you refuse to do.

You already know what is right.

Now the question is whether you will do it.

Remember: Intelligence tops being smart.
