Breaking Barriers Atlanta (BBATL) is a signature program of L.E.A.D. Center For Youth. BBATL offers certified baseball instruction to players of all skill levels, while providing an opportunity for youth of different racial and economic backgrounds to interact, engage and grow.
Our goal is to produce skilled players, but more importantly, nurture productive members of the community by uniting around the shared love of baseball.
The revenue generated from BBATL supports L.E.A.D.’s student-athletes and programming.

Our Coaches
Our instructors are not hired solely based on their past on-field accomplishments. The “A” you see on their hat has been earned. The young men, who earn the title “Ambassador,” have conquered odds and progressed through a leadership program that was built for failure. Yes, they know baseball, but it does not define them.
L.E.A.D. Facility
BBATL is hosted at L.E.A.D. Center for Youth in the Adair Park neighborhood just south of downtown Atlanta. Established in 2020, the L.E.A.D. Center is the hub of activities for our Ambassadors and other L.E.A.D. initiatives. At the center, you’ll find:
- 5,500 sq. ft. Indoor Facility With Premium Synthetic Turf
- Three Hitting Tunnels With “Hack Attack” Pitching Machines
- Learning Lab Outfitted With The Latest In Audio-Visual Technology
- Industry Leading “Tanner Tees” Batting Tees and Baseballs
